Left Out band Möbius Strip will celebrate the release of their new EP Escalate this Sunday, October 2, with a show at the Black Cat with long-time DC-area hardcorists B.S.R. (members of Key Figures, Nervous Impulse, Reticents, Ambition Burning).

Last week, Möbius Strip withdrew from a show scheduled for August 7 at Charm City Art Space after learning about some disturbing events. CCAS is a collectively-run space in Baltimore where artists, musicians, and other performers share their work in a DIY setting.

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists are playing a show to benefit The National Day Laborer Organizing Network and We Are Family DC on November 12 at Sacred Heart Church in NW DC.

In April, Möbius Strip headed into the studio with new drummer Shane Carwile to record six songs. The EP is called Escalate, and it's available for streaming or downloading from the widget below. It was recorded at Inner Ear Studios with Don Zientara and mastered by T.J. Lipple.

On Escalate, Möbius Strip wear their politics on their collective sleeve, packing six songs about animal rights, cultural identity, substance-free living, and sexual assault into just over 13 minutes.
